These small canvases come from a deep place in my psyche. Earlier work, I have discovered, was mostly from my head, whereas this series is definitely tapping into my heart and soul. Visualizing nightmares, heartaches, frustrations, and even joys…these are hidden depths that spill out with a quirkiness that surprises me. Working out each one however, is such a release, a healing. I ultimately ’net’ these pieces as a protective device—veiling as an indication of private notions, protection, seclusion
